The 2014 Met Gala red carpet was swarming with swaths of skin thanks to this year’s crop top trend!

The theme at the 2014 Met Gala may have been Charles James: Beyond Fashion, but instead of showing up in over-the-top gowns the designer was famous for, celebs decided to show some skin as they sashayed down the red carpet.
Hollywood’s most fashionable stars descended upon NYC to celebrate the annual Met Ball on Monday night. In contrast to last year’s punk rock theme, the rich and famous were seen rocking bright colors and flirty silhouettes. Besties Rihanna and Cara Delevingne looked edgy yet elegant, baring their washboard abs, but they weren’t the only ones to flash their taught tummies.
Typically conservative Anne Hathaway took a risk in a crimson Calvin Klein Collection ensemble consisting of a high-waisted skirt (with a thigh high slit!) and a structured bodice that showed a sliver of skin. Emma Stone also went with a cheery palette, and she stunned in a pink and red Thakoon two-piece.
